A Peek into the Mansour Collection: Spectacular Persian Rugs

Persian rugs are traditionally made from high-quality wool, often sourced from sheep raised in the mountains of Iran. Some regions also weave with silk for a luxurious sheen and incredibly fine detail, while cotton is commonly used for the foundation to add stability and shape. These hand-knotted Persian pieces are dyed using natural dyes extracted from plants, roots, and minerals, creating rich colors that age beautifully over time.

The result is a Persian carpet that blends craft and culture - the floral patterns, geometric motifs, and tribal symbols in everything from finely woven rugs to rustic tribal Gabbeh rugs often reflect what the rugs represent: stories, heritage, and a sense of place passed down through generations.

At Mansour, each piece in our antique Persian rug collection is curated for its exceptional artistry and provenance. Many are antique Persian rugs that have been preserved for 100 years or more. These pieces showcase traditional technique at its highest level.

We select only the finest examples of Persian rug designs, whether classic palace-woven masterpieces or village carpets with soulful character.

Interior design with Persian rugs is not just about decoration - it’s about adding history, craftsmanship, and a focal point with depth and personality. When an interior designer places an antique Mansour rug in a room, the entire space transforms. Let us tell you about some of our finest pieces!
